On September 12, Turkish police raided the homes of LGBT+ activists in the middle of the night.

More than 100 people were taken into custody, and over 80 were sent to prison. Some have since been released. But as of September 22, 24 LGBT+ rights defenders are still behind bars awaiting trial.

They face years in prison for routine administrative work, for legitimate, registered organizations.
