Arizona says NO to hateful, homophobic Drag Ban bills

As anti-LGBT+ legislation sweeps the United States, activists in Arizona fought back and won!

Along with several other U.S. states, Arizona has faced an unprecedented legislative attack against the LGBT+ community. As part of this "moral panic," the legislature passed a series of anti-drag and anti-LGBT+ bills – including bills that would have seen drag performers threatened with prison time!

Equality Arizona – a local organization – launched a petition with All Out, asking the governor to veto these anti-LGBT+ bills. More than 10,000 people from around the world stood in solidarity with LGBT+ Arizonans.

And it worked!

At the end of June (Pride Month), Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs vetoed all four bills – a major win for the community.
