Funding the first LGBT+ center in Uganda

A group of artists and activists counter anti-LGBT+ hate with creativity. All Out members supported their plans for a safe space for LGBT+ Ugandans.

The artist collective Rainbow Riots is using their creativity and art to speak out against crimes against LGBT+ people in some of the most dangerous countries in the world to be queer. Many of their members live in Uganda and in 2017 helped pull off a secret Pride celebration after all Pride events were canceled by a homophobic Minister.

All Out members helped fund Rainbow Riots' first community center for LGBT+ people in Uganda to support their efforts in creating a safe space for the LGBT+ community in Uganda.

The center is under construction now but in the meantime you can check out some of the jam sessions they produced exclusively for All Out:
