Urgent Winter Aid for LGBT+ Ukrainians
In the winter of 2024–2025, a Ukrainian LGBT+ shelter faced the threat of closure. Members of All Out sprang into action to assist. Thanks to the generosity and solidarity of All Out members, the LGBT+ shelter Soiuz LGBT "Ty ne Odyn" (You Are Not Alone), was able to continue helping Ukraine’s queer community, that was facing an especially harsh winter amid unimaginable challenges.
Though global media attention has waned, the war in Ukraine continues, with LGBT+ people facing both the brutal realities of conflict and systemic discrimination. For many near the front lines or in Russian-occupied areas, the struggle includes horrific threats, from physical violence to losing their homes to missile attacks. Against this backdrop, the community center supported by Ty ne Odyn has been more than a refuge — it is a critical lifeline.
With the help of All Out members, we raised the necessary funds to keep this vital center open throughout the winter, allowing it to continue providing warmth, electricity, and a safe, supportive space where members can gather, work, and heal. Ty ne Odyn’s community center now has what it needs to ensure LGBT+ Ukrainians are not left behind during these challenging months.
