This website, https://allout.org, (the "Site") is operated by the All Out Action Fund, which supports the All Out movement ("We" or "Us").

All Out Action Fund is a 501(c)(4) not-for-profit corporation dedicated to raising public awareness, promoting activism and influencing public and individual behavior to combat prejudice and discrimination against members of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender community.

All Out Action Fund is committed to protecting your privacy online and offline. This Privacy Policy describes our practices in connection with information that we collect through the Site from which you are accessing this Privacy Policy, as well as through HTML-formatted email messages that we send to you, unsolicited emails received from you, and offline events (collectively, the "Services").

Updates to This Privacy Policy

Please review this Privacy Policy periodically because we may modify it from time to time. The "LAST UPDATED" legend at the top of this page indicates when this Privacy Policy was last revised. Any changes to this Privacy Policy will become effective when we post the revised Privacy Policy on the Site. Each time you visit the Site or provide us with information through the Site, by doing so you are accepting the Privacy Policy in effect at that time.

"Personal Information" is information that identifies you as an individual or relates to an identifiable person, such as:

We have no control over, and are not responsible for, this third party’s collection, use, and disclosure of your Personal Information.

How We Use Personal Information

We may use Personal Information for our legitimate business interests, including the following:

  • Providing the Site’s functionality and fulfilling your requests.
    • To allow you to start and/or sign petitions, complete surveys, and send messages to world leaders through the Site.

    • To send you important information regarding the Site, changes to our terms, conditions, and policies, and/or other administrative information.
    • To process your donation or payment, communicate with you regarding your donation, and provide you with related services.

    • To communicate with you about All Out’s campaigns, including by telephone, text message, or advertisements on our marketing partners’ websites (e.g., Facebook), if you have voluntarily provided your telephone number to us. We will engage in this activity with your consent.

  • Aggregating and/or anonymizing Personal Information.
    • We may aggregate and/or anonymize Personal Information so that it will no longer be considered Personal Information. We do so to generate other data for our use, which we may use and disclose for any purpose.
  • Accomplishing our organizational purposes.
    • For our organizational purposes, such as data analysis, for example, to improve the efficiency of our Services;
    • For enhancing, improving, or modifying the Site or our Services and developing new products and services;
    • For audits, to verify that our internal processes function as intended and are compliant with legal, regulatory, or contractual requirements;

How Personal Information Is Disclosed

Your Personal Information may be disclosed:

  • To third parties (such as petitioners, world leaders, and other targets) when you voluntarily provide such information or when you use certain services available on the Site (such as signing petitions or sending messages to third parties). For example, when you sign a petition, we will share your Personal Information with the petitioner, who may, in turn, further disclose your Personal Information. We are not responsible for the practices of petitioners. Please also note that any information and materials that you post or disclose through these services may be published on the Site and may become public information that is available to visitors to the Site and members of the general public. We urge you to be very careful when deciding to disclose your Personal Information, or any other information, on the Site.
  • To our third-party service providers who provide services such as website hosting, data analysis, donation and payment processing, order fulfillment, infrastructure provision, information technology services, customer service, email delivery, auditing, and other services, to enable them to provide the services. We also use or disclose your Personal Information as necessary or appropriate, especially when we have a legal obligation or legitimate interest to do so:

  • To comply with applicable law.
    • This can include laws outside your country of residence.
  • To respond to requests from public and government authorities.
    • These can include authorities outside your country of residence.
  • To cooperate with law enforcement.
    • For example, when we respond to law enforcement requests and orders, including from authorities outside your country of residence.
  • For other legal reasons.
    • To enforce our terms and conditions; and
    • To protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property, and/or that of our affiliates, you, or others.

Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet or storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Your Choices Regarding Our Use of Your Personal Information

  • If you no longer want to receive campaign or marketing-related emails from us, or receive targeted campaign or marketing-related advertisements, you may opt out here. Please note that, by using this option, you will be removed from our mailing list and will no longer receive any commercial emails from us.
  • If you no longer want to receive campaign or marketing-related telephone calls or SMS (text messages) from us, you may opt out by using this form.

We will try to comply with your request(s) as soon as reasonably practicable. Please note that if you opt out of receiving campaign or marketing-related messages from us, we may still send important administrative messages to you, from which you cannot opt out.

How You May Access or Change Your Personal Information

If you would like to request to review, correct, update, suppress, restrict, or delete Personal Information that you have provided to us, object to the processing of Personal Information, or if you would like to request to receive an electronic copy of your Personal Information for purposes of transmitting it to another organization (to the extent this right to data portability is provided to you by applicable law), you may contact us using this form. We will respond to your request consistent with applicable law.

In your request, please make clear what Personal Information you would like to have changed, whether you would like to have your Personal Information suppressed from our database, or otherwise let us know what limitations you would like to put on our use of your Personal Information. For your protection, we may only implement requests with respect to the Personal Information associated with the particular email address that you use when sending us your request, and we may need to verify your identity before implementing your request. We will try to comply with your request as soon as reasonably practicable.

Please note that we may need to retain certain information for recordkeeping purposes and/or to complete any transactions that you began prior to requesting a change or deletion.

Third-Party Campaigns and Sites

This Privacy Policy does not address, and we are not responsible for, the privacy, information, or other practices of any third parties, including any third party sponsoring a campaign on the Site or operating a site to which the Site contains a link. The inclusion of a third-party campaign or link on the Site does not imply endorsement of the linked site by us or by our affiliates.

If you provide your Personal Information in connection with a third-party-sponsored campaign that is run on the Site, both we and the applicable third party will receive your Personal Information, and we may use such information as set forth in this Privacy Policy.

Retention Period

We will retain your Personal Information for as long as needed or permitted in light of the purpose(s) for which it was obtained. Use of Site by Minors

The Services are not directed to individuals under the age of sixteen (16), and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from such individuals.
