EU Commission revives plan to strengthen equality protections
When the European Commission tried to withdraw its proposal for the Equal Treatment Directive, more than 33,000 All Out members spoke out to defend equality. Thanks to this collective action, the Commission reversed its decision, keeping hope alive for stronger EU-wide anti-discrimination protections. Now, all eyes are on EU Member States – key countries are still blocking progress, and unanimity is needed to make the Directive a reality.
