Changing hearts and minds in India
Before India’s anti-LGBT+ law was overruled on September 2018, we partnered with Jhatkaa to help fight back against 150 years of misinformation.
LGBT+ activists had been fighting for years against Section 377, a discriminatory law that criminalized same-sex activity and had led to a lot of misinformation and distrust of LGBT+ people in India.
It was anticipated that the Indian Supreme Court could rule Section 377 unconstitutional soon, so we partnered with our friends at Jhatkaa to put up giant billboards around the city of New Delhi, encouraging acceptance of queer people and promoting a LGBT+ helpline.
All Out members showed their support and helped us fully fund this action.
