Our campaigns are proof that love wins. Here are some of our greatest victories (so far!).

Pride Uganda 2019 was a success!

While the world celebrated 50 years of Stonewall in 2019 with colorful Pride events in many cities around the world, LGBT+ Ugandans were still waiting for their “Stonewall moment”.

Activists in Uganda were determined to have their own Pride, in defiance of local authorities and the country's anti-LGBT law.

For the third time, All Out ran a crowdfunding campaign to help make Pride Uganda happen. Through the funds raised by All Out members, we were able to fully fund the event.

Best of all, Pride Uganda 2019 was a huge success! The organizers were able to gather the LGBT+ community together for a number of events. Here are some photos from one:

The celebration was overshadowed by rumors about the return of the notorious "Kill the Gays" bill, which would introduce the death penalty for LGBT+ Ugandans. The rumors were later dismissed by the Ugandan government but this looming threat shows exactly why Pride is so important. The Ugandan community so desperately needs these moments of love, celebration, and solidarity.
